Scouts Australia NSW has a vacancy for an experienced Venue Manager at the Cataract Scout Park, the premier scout camping park in NSW.

The Cataract Scout Park sits on 163 hectares adjacent to Cataract Dam and provides Bunkroom and Lodge accommodation for 200+. It also features a number of serviced camp sites capable of putting thousands under canvas. Apart from its primary focus of providing “adventure “ opportunities for scouts,it also  provides opportunities to the general community for school camps, corporate training and group accommodation. The Park will host the Australian Scout Jamboree in January 2010.

We are looking for a Venue Manager to take responsibility for the day to day operations of the Park and to maximize the potential of this unique facility. The successful applicant will have at least four years experience in Venue Management preferably in a management capacity. Demonstrated skill in a customer service environment, program development/delivery and outdoor education are essential. Scouting knowledge will be well regarded.
