Program Officers at Berry, Lake Burrendong and Lake Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centres. Position No:DASRS08/52.

The positions are temporary appointments for up to three years. Total remuneration package valued from $76,018, includes employer’s contribution to superannuation (Salary $47,627 pa to $69,741pa). Please note this position also attracts an additional Sport and Recreation allowance of $8,505 pa. An eligibility list for similar positions at other locations will be created from this process.

Position Purpose
Responsible for the development, co-ordination and delivery of programs (including residential programs) conducted at the Department’s Sport and Recreation Centres.

Selection Criteria:

  • Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation or Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Appropriate knowledge, skills and experience in the delivery of outdoor recreational programs with a demonstrated ability to facilitate appropriate client driven outcomes. 
  • Ability to work with diverse client groups and a commitment to high level customer service.
  • Sound judgement skills and a commitment to ethical decision making. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to work as part of a team and show initiative in a challenging, creative and fun environment. 
  • Current First Aid, Resuscitation and Bronze medallion qualifications.
  • Experience with computer applications.
