Mike Anderson from Challenge Works is planning to attend the annual VOEA Conference in early June, and there may be the possibility of him coming to Sydney around 26th or 27th May.
We are seeking 'Expressions of Interest" to determine if there is enough interest for him to be able to run some workshops in Sydney, potentially addressing some of the issues suggested below.
Ropes Course Owners Day
For campsite staff, current and prospective owners of ropes courses.
- Schedule of regular inspections - what to look for etc.
- How do you assess who is appropriately qualified and/or experienced to operate the ropes course?
- How to choose your ropes course constructor/inspector?
- SOPs - what are the important elements to look out for?
- How do you monitor that the staff are following the SOPs and how do you document this?
- What has happened in the US - challenges and issues
Team Building Day
Suitable for Campsite Staff, Outdoor Educators, Outdoor Recreation Facilitators.
- Programming, running and sequencing games
- Team Building Initiatives
The venue would most likely be in the Sydney area, and the cost for each day workshop approx $200.00.
