Burger Meal in the Can

Swiss company Katadyn seems to have all the answers for any keen camper who can't be without fast food for too long.

Its German-based Trekking Mahlzewiten (trekking meals) line has produced a cheese-burger in a can.

Heat the can in a saucepan of water, open the lid, close your eyes and be transported to your local fast food outlet with your Canned Cheeseburger.

"The Canned Cheeseburger with roasted onions, cucumber and mustard will allow you to relish the full pleasure of being in the freedom of nature," said Katadyn cheif executive Trix Ammann.

With a shelf lif of 12 months, the Canned Cheesebuger contains 12.6g of fat for every 100g and will set you back $6.50, but it can't be exported outside European Union countries because of its beef content and customs laws.

Katadyn also has an instant red wine - just add water to a powdered sachet and you have a 9.27 per cent alcoholic beverage.
