President of QORF, Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation, Mr Todd Samorowski, recently introduced Donna Little as the new Chief Executive Officer for QORF, to take over from Kathy Kingsford, who recently resigned from the position after many years in the position.
"It is with much excitement and enthusiasm from both the QORF staff and management committee that we introduce Dr Donna Little. Donna comes to the role with a diverse background bringing with her an understanding and appreciation for the complex nature of the role she is about to undertake." he said.
Donna commenced her role on 1 July 2008, saying "It is with much anticipation that I have taken on the position of Chief Executive Officer for QORF, as of July 1. In the few short days I have been employed, I have found the people I work with are enthusiastic and capable, the QORF Management Committee are accessible and committed to their roles, and that there is a general hopefulness about what the future can bring for the organisation and for the outdoor industry overall.
While Kathy will be a great loss for QORF itself, she is continuing her work for the outdoors in her new employment, and importantly is also available to our new staff for mentoring and guidance."
The ORIC Board extends their welcome to Donna, and looks forward to continuing their association and cooperation with QORF. Members of the ORIC Board will have the opportunity to meet with Donna at the National Outdoor Summit to be held in Brisbane early next month.
