ORIC E-BULLETIN - 22 October 2007 Standards Australia recently released for comment a Draft Australian Standard for artificial climbing structures. The Outdoor Council of Australia has expressed concern re a number of issues associated with the draft and the consultation process (refer attaced letter). An extension to the consultation phase has been granted until 14th December 2007. It is vitally important that anyone using artificial climbing structures (indoor walls as well as outdoor artificial structures) has the opportunity to provide comment. A further OCA update following a meeting of the Standards Australia Committee last week is attached, describing details of where to access the draft and the Comment Form.
