Service Skills Australia has developed an industry research report about the sport & recreation industry.
It explores the skills and labour issues affecting our industry, now and into the future.
To get the best outcome for our industry we need to make sure this report is as accurate as possible, and so we are asking for your participation in the on-line validation of this report.
This report will feed into the Service Skills Australia Environmental Scan 2009 which will be used by the government advisory body, Skills Australia, to determine where government responses should be targeted. The Service Industries Environmental Scan will also drive the development and improvement of Service Skills Australia's training packages and inform our future priorities for its work on behalf of the service industries.
The research report is available at www.serviceskills.com.au/scan for industry comment and validation until the end of November 2008.
We invite and encourage organisations (small, medium and large) to help shape the future of workforce and development by providing their input and feedback.
It offers a unique opportunity to communicate the skills and labour issues affecting your business, and feed this information into government decision-making.
About Service Skills Australia (SSA)
SSA is the industry skills council for the service industries. It is an independent, non-profit organisation funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations to support skills development in the service industries.
SSA offers expert advice and a national perspective to help organisations in the service industries achieve quality outcomes and meet their skill development needs. They are responsible for developing the skill standards required to undertake work tasks and collate these into training packages. Training packages are used as the basis for vocational education and training—the national qualifications used to recognise skills in the service industries.
SSA also provide advice to government on skills development needs in the service industries. |
