The 4 Day WER training program is designed for people wishing to gain a well-rounded qualification in Wilderness First Aid & Emergency Response or for those with no first aid training history who wish to qualify in this area for professional reasons or for personal interest.

This course is suitable for outdoor professionals who's qualifications have lapsed and require updating, and for recent school leavers wishing to prepare themselves for careers that will take them into remote areas or those undertaking a Certificate in Outdoor Recreation requiring the mandatory remote area [SRXFAD005A - Manage casualty in a remote and/or isolated area] first aid qualification.

Qualifications:
This is a Wilderness First Aid Qualification awarding the following nationally recognised Units of Competency:

  • HLTFA301B - Apply first aid (WorkCover Approved)
  • HLTFA402B - Provide advanced first aid (WorkCover Approved)
  • SRXFAD005A - Manage casualty in a remote and/or isolated area

Pre/Post-requisites:
Pre-course theory questionnaire or post-course theory case study.
