WHAT GETS PEOPLE OUTDOORS AND WHAT STOPS THEM?
Growing and sustaining participation can require attention to a mix of social issues, educational patterns, market forces, financial attention, industrial issues and land issues.

Biography
Tony cofounded the Outdoor Education Group in 1984, and is presently CEO. The organisation envisions a world where more people think and act to support: positive relationships with themselves; dynamic, healthy communities; and the sustainability of life.

OEG provides 25,000 students in 70 schools with programs, and employs approximately 200 permanent staff.  Tony has a hands off role, as OEG is lead and managed by six Directors. His expertise is in shaking the cage, and balancing mission, financial viability and practical issues in a non-profit organisation.

OEG programs are conducted in Victoria and NSW; most are bush and journey based experiential learning programs ranging from 2 to 32 days in length.  The organisation has seven offices, at a range of schools and camps.
