Outcomes from an indepth analysis of the most appropriate options conducted by key organisations in our industry.

You are invited to participate in a pre-Conference session to discuss the new Modern Awards and implications of their introduction into Outdoor Recreation workplaces.

Discussions will include current advise and individual organisations current thinking around the direction they have taken or are considering taking.

An Industry Working Group comprised of interested parties representing:-

• Outdoor Recreation Industry Council (ORIC)
• Australian Camps Association (ACA)
• Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation (QORF)
• Christian Venues Association (CVA)
• Outdoor Education Group (OEG)
• YMCA
• Somerset Outdoor Learning

has been involved in several meetings in reference to the issues faced by the industry due to the Award Modernisation process.

Cost and implication analysis of several awards that are believed to encompass the business of outdoor education and camping have been looked at, as well as commissioning advice from an industry consultant.
