LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES FOR YOUR STAFF
There are many "Leadership Models" available today via books, the internet, consultants etc etc. The challenge when you are training staff is to make all the philosophies practical.
This workshop focuses on activities that break leadership training into bit size chunks.
Come along, get your blood pumping, have a good laugh, and explore leadership training with a twist. |
Biography |
Since the age of 12 I have been both fascinated by and tuned into the excitement of an individual as they have learned something new about themselves or the environment that immediately surrounds them. We learn and grow through play, exploration, being scared, feeling at risk, loving, asking questions, trusting (at all levels), being exposed to new environments, reading, learning new skills……the list goes on.
Liz started to refer to the outdoors as "her office" in 1986. She was a professional for the YMCA for 17 years, working in residential camping, environmental education and community recreation in the both the USA and Australia.
Liz has spent some time in boarding schools and worked for Shackleton School an expedition based highschool just outside of Boston.
Throughout her career in outdoor education one of Liz's passions has been to provide innovative, relavent and fun training opportunities for the staff that she works with. "We work in an environment that asks our staff to draw learning from experiences every day for our students. It is important to help staff learn using fun and creativity."
