Biography

Keith began the Award at 14 and has completed all levels. He first became involved with youth development by actively promoting the Award within his community as part of his Service section. He was lead delegate for an Environmental Youth Forum, and has become a motivational speaker for young people.

An adventure background derived from working as a guide, first aid instructor, ski patroller and from his own outdoor pursuits, ice-climbing, mountaineering and anything that takes him off the beaten track, has led Keith to become an expedition specialist with the Award for the past six years.

As the Project Officer for the Award in NSW he has implemented and conducted a range of training sessions, navigation, expedition supervisor and Critical Incident Response to support adult volunteers within the Award structure.
