FORTHCOMING CHANGES TO NSW WEATHER SERVICES
The Bureau of Meteorology is upgrading its operational forecast system in the NSW Regional Forecast Centre. From September 2010, there will be changes to NSW weather services.

Outputs from the new system will include quality controlled weather forecasts provided by the Bureau available in graphical or map form out to 7 days ahead for anywhere in the state.

This service enables the user to find, display and zoom into weather details for their area down to the 6 kilometre grid scale by point and click. Other key changes include the introduction of new marine forecast zones and adjustments to the forecasts for the Snowy Mountains region.
