Tracey is as Senior Research Fellow with the Centre for Tourism Research at the University of Canberra.
With a background in Outdoor Education, Tracey's research has focused on visitor safety and risk management and touched on climate change and visitor experiences in alpine environments.
Tracey is currently conducting a research project on head impacts in snowsports funded by the NSW Sporting Injuries Committee, as a well as a project on the legacy of volunteers in mega sporting events such as the winter Olympics and Paralympics.
Her major achievements/awards are Women's Sport and Recreation Administration Scholarship Program, International Travel Scholarship to attend the Wilderness Risk Management Conference in Lake Geneva, WI, USA, NSW Sports Safety Awards, Winner of the Silver Medal for "Outstanding Educational Promotional Program".
Consulting interests are training and development, risk management, campsite accreditation. Tracey is a member of Cooma Ski Club Lodge Ltd and the Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors Inc (APSI) and is also Vice President of the Cooma Ski Club Lodge Ltd.
Tracey's interest lies in outdoor and experiential learning, risk management, wilderness experiences, alpine tourism, snowsport injuries, visitor safety, snowsport participation, triple bottom line evaluation. |
