Fire lighting is an essential skill that is a prerequisite for anyone travelling in the outdoors. Mark and Ian will share with you a variety of ideas that can form the basis for a fun fire lighting session at your school or outdoor-ed centre.
As the title of their presentation suggests, “Matches Not Included” will highlight a variety of ways to get a fire going without using matches. There will be some hands on practical attempts, with Mark Hassell challenging someone in the audience to a fire lighting race.
He will use a flint and stone, you get to use matches!
