WHAT TO DO ONCE YOU REACH CAMP

This practical session will look at things you can use in your program to keep the clients busy when you have finished your "official" work of the day i.e. navigating to the camp, setting up, debriefing, etc.

Games, whittling , rhymes, and mind benders are some of the things that can be used.

Be ready to join in and experience these activities.

Come armed with your ideas and activities to share with the other participants.

Dennis has taught year 9 boys at "Glengarry" in the Kangaroo Valley for 16 years.

He has worked with a number of staff utilising different practices to fulfill the obligation of taking care of the clients.

One of the best ways is to get them actively involved in activities using their brain in a fun way. This is a proactive way to keep clients out of mischief without them even realising it.
